Description: This 6‑hour course equips Licensed Massage Therapists with the knowledge and hands‑on skills needed to effectively address temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) through targeted clinical massage interventions. Participants will explore the anatomy, physiology, and common pathologies of the temporomandibular joint, building a strong foundation for safe and effective treatment. The course provides step‑by‑step instruction in specific soft‑tissue techniques and therapeutic approaches designed to reduce pain, improve function, and support long‑term client outcomes. Key topics include:
• Indications and contraindications for TMJ‑focused massage
• Clinical reasoning and treatment planning
• Areas of caution and essential safety considerations
• Practical application of intra‑ and extra‑oral techniques (as permitted by state law)
