
Dr. Ed Bolden-Greer, Founder/Co-Owner
Ed Bolden is the founder and president of Arbor College- School of Massage in Knoxville, Tennessee. He holds a graduate degree in Life Science (Anatomy) and a postgraduate degree in Naprapathy from North American Naprapathic College. He comes from a varied background in healthcare and healthcare education, having served as a Cardiopulmonary Critical Care Nurse, Nursing Home Administrator, Allied Medical Program Coordinator, and a Director of Massage Education. With over 28 years of experience in healthcare, the last twenty years have been devoted to elevating the profession of massage and massage education. He served twelve years as a member of the Tennessee Massage Licensure Board, where he served as Chairperson for six years. He was elected to the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards(FSMTB), where he served as Vice President and President. He served as a commissioner for the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), where he helped improve the quality of massage education throughout the United States. Having had a thriving massage practice for 20 years, which included teaching continuing education nationally, he has recently semi-retired from his private practice to focus on serving the needs of the school and the massage community at large. He has held leadership positions supporting the work of the massage regulatory community nationally and has chaired many committees and task forces for the Massage Profession. His expertise has extended across examination development, school management, continuing education, and leadership development.
